Find Your Stride

NikeThe Pegasus just got faster. Nike's most trusted daily trainer returns with a full-length Air Zoom unit, 15% more energy return, and a snappier toe-off that makes every run feel a little more effortless.
The Nike Pegasus 42 is one of the most anticipated updates in recent memory, and it delivers. The headline change is a new full-length Air Zoom unit replacing the Pegasus 41's separate air pods — the result is a noticeably smoother, more connected ride that puts over 15% more energy back into your stride. ReactX foam keeps things light without sacrificing that cushioned feel the Pegasus is known for.
Underfoot geometry got attention too. Stack height and drop stay the same, but an increased toe rocker and an extra 3mm of foam under the toe tips make transitions feel more propulsive and natural. The forefoot is slightly wider as well, so runners who felt cramped in previous versions will notice the difference. A redesigned waffle outsole with added flex grooves handles the transitions below while keeping durability where it counts.
The upper is classic Pegasus — breathable engineered mesh, plush tongue, soft internal lining — with 3D-printed structure and a midfoot band for a secure lockdown that doesn't feel restrictive. Whether you're logging easy miles, hitting a moderate tempo, or just looking for a shoe that can handle whatever the week throws at it, the Pegasus 42 is as dependable as it gets.
