Professional runner, coach, and founder of Cadence.
Mark Shannon is a professional 1500m runner and the founder of Cadence. He ran five years of NCAA Division I track and cross country at the University of Alabama, where he earned All-American honors, competed at the SEC Championships and NCAA Nationals, and graduated with a degree in Finance and Economics from the Culverhouse College of Business.
He currently coaches cross country and track at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio, and is pursuing a Master's in Sport Management at the University of Florida. Cadence grew out of his own experience testing and comparing racing and training shoes as a competitive athlete — the same specs and comparisons he uses to evaluate his own footwear are what power the platform.
