Updated from top to bottom, this second iteration delivers a faster, more stable, and more propulsive ride designed for race-day precision. At the heart of the Rocket X 2 is a dual-layer PEBA superfoam midsole, with a full-length carbon fiber platesandwiched between for explosive propulsion and efficient energy transfer. This setup creates a ride that feels powerful yet controlled, allowing you to hold pace deep into the race. Paired with HOKA’s signature rocker geometry and strategic midsole cutouts, the shoe promotes quick transitions, enhanced bounce, and a smooth forward roll that’s ideal for marathon and half marathon efforts.

Underfoot, a zonal rubber outsole maximizes traction exactly where it’s needed while minimizing weight. Carefully placed cutouts not only reduce mass but also allow the carbon plate to flex and rebound more freely, amplifying the shoe’s springy feel.
