The headline update is the redesigned 3D glass fiber-infused nylon Wave Plate — no longer a flat structure, it now compresses on loading and springs back with each stride like a springboard, delivering snappier, more vertical energy return through the midfoot without the rigidity of a carbon plate. Mizuno also increased the volume of the top foam layer by 12% over the Neo Vista 2, meaning there's even more supercritical nitrogen-infused ENERZY NXT TPU foamdirectly underfoot for that signature soft, trampoline-like bounce.

The dual-density midsole pairs the ENERZY NXT TPU top layer for responsive, energetic cushioning with a firmer ENERZY NXT EVA base layer that provides stability and durability across high-mileage training weeks. At 44.5mm in the heel and 36.5mm in the forefoot with an 8mm drop, it sits among the tallest super trainers on the market — yet at 9.2 oz it punches well below its weight for such a protective platform. The upper received the most meaningful improvement in the series' history — a new engineered knit construction with a more substantial heel counter, deeper inner cushioning around the achilles, and dramatically better lockdown than the Neo Vista 2.
